Lumerit Expands to 1,000 Colleges and Universities
Consumer Advocate for Higher Graduation Rates
San Antonio, TX – Lumerit Education expanded its Central Registrar’s Office™ to more than 1,000 colleges and universities providing even greater choices for students to build a course-by-course degree plan for the fastest, most convenient and cost-effective path to graduation. Using its proprietary technology platform, the Lumerit Central Registrar’s Office considers thousands of variables not otherwise available to students when considering their degree completion options. As a result, students graduate faster than individuals who do their own degree mapping.
When students go to college, they are presented with a list of about forty academic courses that become requirements for earning their degree. If students follow all the requirements, they will graduate. However, the trend is that 75% of all students will attend two or more colleges prior to graduation, according to the National Center of Educational Statistics.
“Attending two or more colleges can either be rewarding or problematic,” said Ryan Yamane, Lumerit’s Chief Operating Officer. “Every college has their own unique graduation requirements, and because of this variability and complexity, it places the consumer at a real disadvantage when determining their path forward. As a result, students spend more time and money than necessary completing their degree.”
The Lumerit Central Registrar’s Office provides students with the resources and tools to build course-by-course degree plans allowing a faster and more cost-effective path to graduation to one of more than 1,000 colleges and universities. Lumerit Scholars® use the world as their campus earning up to three years’ worth of college credits from the Lumerit Global Digital Classroom™.
“With graduation rates now being measured over a six-year period, students have the benefit of a consumer advocate to show them what is possible. When combined with the Global Digital Classroom and a path forward via the Central Registrar’s Office, students have more insight into their options, which translates into higher graduation rates,” said Yamane.
